Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Society Conference
Mrs. Gloria Lee will attend the 33rd Annual Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Society Conference and Florida Historical Society Public History Forum, May 19-21 at the Hilton UF Conference Center in Gainesville and display some of Ernest’s paintings of the Rawlings home in Cross Creek, Fla.
The combined conference will include engaging panel discussions and presentations each morning, with tours of historic sites, museums, and archives each afternoon. The event features special performances, an awards luncheon, a banquet dinner with keynote speaker Ann McCutchan, and more.

Ernest M. Lee's folk art, notecards and other items will be available for purchase during the 70th annual Florida Folk Festival in May. Held Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29, 2022, at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs, the Festival is a three-day celebration of the music, dance, stories, crafts and food that make Florida unique.

Opening Reception Saturday, Oct. 8 (5-7 p.m.) Closing Reception Saturday, Nov. 5 (5-7 p.m.) The North Florida art community lost a longtime favorite Folk Artist, Mr. Ernest M. Lee, who died unexpectedly last fall. The Cedar Key Arts Center is proud to host this exhibit of his works, which will be on sale throughout the event. Gallery open daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
